The Very Hungry CANterpillar

One sunny morning at the Bite of Seattle, a CANterpiller hatched out of his tiny little egg, and boy was he hungry! The CANterpillar was so hungry in fact, that for breakfast he ate 84 boxes of Apple Jacks, 120 Cans of Hominy, a dozen Summer Sausages, a forest full of Pineapples, and all the way through a book.

After walking off breakfast, the CANterpillar focused his thoughts on what to have for lunch. "Should I have 60 cans of Baked Beans or 60 boxes of Mac and Cheese," he thought quietly to himself. After much deliberation, the CANterpillar decided he would rather have 128 cans of Beets instead. Soon after lunch, the CANterpillar decided he better take a nap. Zzz... Zzz... Zzz... The CANterpillar awoke around 5:30pm, just in time for dinner.

For dinner, our friend the CANterpillar decided to treat himself to a gourmet meal of Mac and Beef cruisine, 384 cans of Green Beans, and a couple jars of cherries for dessert. Doesn't that sound a bit excessive? Not for a hungry CANterpillar... and not for the benefit of Seattle's Food Lifeline!
